Iain Dale and his TUC ‘Bruvvers’

Iain Dale at the TUC Conference today – strange bedfellows. Dale wrote yesterday of adding some ‘glamour‘ to the Total Politics stall down in Brighton, I’m going to presume this was tongue in cheek. Surely not even Dale – not known to shrink away from a little self-promotion – can think that the trade unionists will be impressed by his presence.

Regardless, his attempts to woo trade union subscribers to Total Politics (he reports with glee that ‘there’s even an interview with Brendan Barber in it’ as if this is somehow groundbreaking), won’t be helped by the particularly condescending headline to his latest missive: ‘A Morning Wiv Da Bruvvers’. Oh dear.

Can I direct you towards finding your sense of humour somewhere. You clearly seem to have mislaid it.
Comment by Iain Dale September 10, 2008 @ 3:18 pmIt’s funny how just about every single post on this site since its inception has failed to deal with anything remotely topical or political. It’s the political equivalent of a nursery school scuffle.
Sour grapes anyone?
Comment by Neo September 10, 2008 @ 4:02 pmI’d accept – in good grace – the ‘nursery school scuffle’ remark but not the comments on an abscence of posts that were topical or political.
Regardless, I’ll accept the challenge of being both topical and political this evening…
Comment by centreleft September 10, 2008 @ 4:16 pmPlease do; it’d be nice to have two blogs either side of the centre ground that could provide alternative and stimulating insights into issues of importance (I refer to centreleft and centreright).
